Stack an empty six pack of cans between the seat rails and the gas pedal. This will set you for apx 70mph. Need to slow down? No problem, just kick the line of cans and you'll slow down.

Your welcome!

I don't drink that much soda or beer, it would be months before I could make this happen!

I can't seem to find a reference to troubleshooting the cruise control system in the service manuals, but I would first check the fuse for the system. In the Impreza, it is in slot number 18 and is a 15-amp fuse that also powers the back-up lamps.

Same thing

Mine stopped last year, the button would light up but it would never engage. Dealer in WV replaced a bushing in the clutch pedal and it was fixed, but is now off again. Am going back in a few weeks to see if they can't do it again, will report.

Update: no chance yet to take it back. Lots of problems with the recent move, but will take the next chance to get this done and let you all know...
