Cleanig soot from inside?
Had a neighborhood fire andI had my window down. The inside of my scoooby has a light layer of soot on the seats/dash/doors, etc. (baley enough to see but if you run your hand over it you can see the marks. Any suggestions on what to clean the plastic with? I used armorall on my other car but I was told that's a bad idea on scoobys...

Yeah, armor-all is about as horrible as you can get. Put that in the garbage. Just get some Sprayaway glass cleaner (blue and white aerosol can its foam and it's the best for everything!) and some soft rags to take care of the plastics and the windows. Don't use windex, it's horrible.
As for the upholstery, vacuum it as best as you can, then you may need to experiment. Try a wisk broom (one of those hand-held straw brooms) or maybe some foam upholstery cleaner. Some of those have a brush on the top that may come in handy. The foam is good for getting the dirt to lift, then you can vacuum again and let everything dry with the windows down for the afternoon.
Should work!
I spent many years in a restoration shop and we saw some pretty dirty interiors... you're always better off using quality cleaning products. In fact, we used that sprayaway glass cleaner on the paint of a $250,000 1950 Bentley MK6 before a show. The owner drove through a huge puddle and we had no water, so we used glass cleaner... and won Best in Show... so I trust it on the interior of a Subaru!
