Check Engine Light Help
My check engine light came on today and just blinked about 3 times and went off again. Does this mean anything major? I do need an oil change (I'm about 1,000 miles over, just lazy I guess). Could that be it?

There is no "service" light and the ECU has no idea when you need an oil change.
If the CEL flashed and did not remain on steadily, it was indicating a real-time misfire which is not a good thing. You can have Autozone do a free scan to check for any stored codes but if the light didn't remain on steady at any point there probably are none.
