Chaser - low idle, stall and die

I have a 1989 chaser that starts but then runs at a very low idle. I can get the car up to 300 revs but then he engine suddenly stalls and turns off. I had the car towed to a shop where they changes the two fuel filters. The car ran well for two days and now no longer runs.
Any suggestions?
The car is in great shape but I don't want to start to spend too much money on it.

Thanks

With a car in that year range it wouldn't suprise me if you had a vacuum leak.
Do a spray down test with wd-40 and see if it revs up. If it does you got a leak.
Look at your plugs and wires too make sure its not those.
Also take a look at your air filter if you never have changed it.

Thanks for the reply. Found a vacuum hose that was off but still the same problem. Had one spark plug that could not be removed at last tune-up. Licenced mechanic installed the first time and at last tune-up another licenced mechanic could not get it out and told me to leave it in, it should be OK. Could this be the problem?
Simple rule of thumb... replace spark plugs in SETS. Period.. if he was licensed he should know this. When I went to school for my ASE, etc.. that was something that was always stressed when some "back-yard-bill" decided to just replace the ones that 'looked bad'.
