CEL confusion

Hey everyone. Yet another CEL problem. My 02 WRX CEL will go on for a while, then off, then back on and so on. When it goes on the first time, I immediately lose power. I can't accelerate and it is like there is no turbo and the car is bogged down. I can also detect a slight change in the tone of the engine. If I turn the car off and then back on, it is like nothing is wrong, even though the CEL is still on. After driving for a while it will again start doing the same thing. It seems very random as far as when and how long this happens. I have lots of mods done, including catless exhaust and up pipe. My Subaru dealership is a bunch of spanks and couldn't tell me anything useful. Is it possible that a sensor is not working properly like the O2?

do you know what the cel is? i doubt it is the o2 sensor since you say that you cant accelerate. try looking around your engine compartment to see if you have anything loose. check you maf sensor too.

Get it scanned to find out what the code is and then we can help you more. It's all just speculation until you do that.
Autozone does free scans, if you are in CA they won't scan it for you but they will lend you the scanner (for a deposit).
Someone in your area may have one as well, try your local forum.
