Hey there... long time Subaru fan, fell in love with the car when I started following the FIA WRC over 8 yrs ago. I am finally going to be purchasing my first car since I need it to get to my new job and am strongly considering the 2006 Impreza 2.5i Sedan 5 spd. I looked at the WRX and it is simply a gorgeous vehicle, but it is beyond the budget I wish to spend at this point.

Now being in Canada I was wondering if someone in the GTA could provide me with some feedback on what I should be paying for an 06 2.5i sedan with the spoiler, fogs and upgraded security, plus what dealerships in the area are good for sales and service. I've visited one dealership so far (Scarborough Subaru) and found the salesman I dealt with to be very pleasant, and not trying to push any sale on me. I didn't work out an offer yet as I have still to test drive one more car (2006 Acura CSX Touring) tonight. The salesman at Subaru simply stated to see him when I'm ready with an offer and he'll see what he can do.

I was planning on going in (if the Acura doesn't suit my needs) with an offer of $25000 CAD +taxes for the 06 with the spoiler, fogs, upgraded security, freight/pdi, etc. Would this offer be too high or is it around the mark I would expect to pay for the car?

I'm not sure what the going rate for subarus in Canada is, so it's hard for me to able to give you an accurate price for the cars...I know that before all the taxes and what not I was able to price out that car with the options you wanted for 18,500 USD. I got that number by going to carsdirect.com
