well since ur moving to another state..you might want to buy it there, but that depends if ur driving to the other state or flying there. i think its easier if u just wait since u dont need the car now AND price might drop but thats a maybe.

what stae are you moving to? that might be a major factor... especially in terms of taxes. and license fees.
if you are referring strictly in terms of lowest pricing. subaru has a weird timeframe when it comes to model year line-ups. while most car manufacturers bring out new models in sept/oct/nov. subaru has been doing it in the middle of the year.
so if you noticed, all the "old" models(MY04) are being blown out in the middle of July/August... for example my dealership is completely sold out of 2004 models(wrx,sti,legacy,forester,outback).... in the middle of 2004! so if you want a really good deal on an 2005 model you'd have to wait until the next summer. you figure most dealerships are gonna try to make some money since we have a whole year and a half to do so.

I'm moving out to Endicott, NY for my new job. A big change from living in sunny California. I found a dealer in NY (Van Bortel Subaru) that sells Legacy GT's at practically invoice price, so I might try my luck there. I found out shipping the car from CA to NY is going to be horrendous as well and I'm not up for a cross country trip. I guess I'll cross my fingers and see if they have special interest rates in Dec.
