Burning Plugs at an Ungodly rate

here is the scoop

my '00 2.5 has taken to killing plugs about every 9 days. Misfire in #2. Replaced the plugs 9 days ago and now this issue is back. This leads me to believe there is a deeper problem here. Any ideas? Coil, wires, 02 sensor?

thanks guys

I just traded in my 00 RS for a WRX.

The my 2000 RS are known for eating up o2 sensors but it normally triggers an CEL. Have you seen a CEL at all?

I imagine a bad o2 sensor could mess up the plugs because the ECU will revert to a safe fuel map that runs over rich. That could foul the plugs I suppose.

basicly found that my wires, after 105k miles of good service, were shot

replaced them, now I have an even more bizzare issue
