anybody hear about the alternator recall?

i called the parts department for a price on a new alternator, and he told me to call the service department because there is an alternator recall. now i'm just waiting for the call back from subaru to find out whether or not my car is included in the recall.

anybody out there who works at a dealership and has heard of this recall?

 

There was a recall about two years ago I got a notice in the mail on my 96 outback. If the alternator light comes on the dealer will replace the alternator and yada yada. I lived in europe at the time and called subaru of America and they sent a new alternator to europe and paid to have it changed this was after I told them that my alternator was not acting up but it would be a real pain to them if they waited till failure. they were good about it.
