2.2l valve tick

I have a 96 legacy wagon that has developed a rather noticeable ticking from the valve train. I understand that these engines have hydraulic lash adjusters instead of mechanical adjusters. I will be pulling off the covers and rocker assemblies soon and need to know if I should go ahead and pre-order the adjusters now. Is this an obvious fix (a collapsed adjuster), or am I going the wrong way here? Any help is appreciated. I'm down to one car and dont want to find out half way through the job, that I have to run to the parts store. Thanks.
