I just stopped by Stevens Creek Subaru to get my seat rail bolt fixed (03 WRX) and the service guy tried to push me into getting a 1 yr. service for my car. I've only got 6700 mi. on the odo and he said that I still need the 1 yr. service because fluids still go bad after time and not getting the service might void my warranty. I've had the car for about 1.5 yrs now. Is this true, or is this just a load of crap? I'm thinking the latter.

 

The service schedule that came in your owners manual is both mileage and time based. Follow that and you should not have any warranty issues.
