07 WRX Hesitating! Only 1100 miles

My 07 has a little over 1000 miles and I noticed when I bought it that it jitters between 1800-3500RPM during 1/4-1/2 throttle acceleration. Its not a major hesitation, but it feels like boost kind of cuts in and out. I didnt really notice it when i test drove the car, but now that I think back it did do it when I first drove it. I also havent take the car past 5k RPM but sometimes it feels kind of flat up top. Is it supposed to pull pretty hard up top? Could it be a boost leak? Could this be a factory defect or is it normal? Thanks in advance for any input.

The only thing that comes to mind is the air-conditioning compressor affects idle and part-throttle response because the idle speed raises automatically to compensate for the extra load on the engine. Most guys who run track days (road course) leave their a/c off during their sessions because it affects the way the car drives. Turn your a/c or climate controls off and see if you get the same hesitation.

Never hurts to schedule an appointment at your dealership. Your car is under warranty.

I do feel it with the a/c off. Would the dealership check for boost leaks and all that garbage? thanks for the reply.

The techs will first drive your car to understand what you've experienced. What procedures they follow from there, I don't know. Basically, they'll check for the obvious things first that are less labor-intensive. They know which lines to check that might cause rough running and will probably scan for trouble codes to see if anything is stored by the ECU. I'd give 'em a call. It's a new car and they'll want to keep their customers happy.
