06 WRX or 04/05 STi?
Ok should i just get the 04/05 STi or get a 06 WRX since its a few steps away from an STi with injectors/turbo/tunning/etc....i think id go for the sti since its less work involved and already setup with suspension i like...04 sti can be had for 22-25k with fairly low mileage...and the 06 wrx's (TR edition id want) can be had for 22-23k gimme some thoughts and feelings folks!
Also a used (Properly Searching) STi can be found for the same price range as a new 06 WRX (TR)
Weigh your options..
good luck on whatever you decide.. Rememeber its still a SUBY!!!

If you have the money for maintenence, insurance and monthly payments the STi is a no brainer.
On the other hand, if insurance is gonna kill you and you may not be able to replace the brakes or clutch if they go from prior abuse, the 06 wrx is still a great car.
Ive gone in numerous circles trying to get my hands on an sti/06 wrx, but I just cant justify it (cost/bugeye love). Hey you could do a wrx/sti swap in your rs!

yea i could do a swap in my RS....but for the same price i may as well just buy an STi...ive wanted a newer car. plus id want it done right with the right parts and it would end up being over 20k lol.
- being able to afford insurance - yep sure can in august when it will be 2500$/yr from AAA
- payment - yep sure can as long as i can find one under 25k and put 12k on it.
-maintenence - easily done
i make between 1500-1800/mo

I'd be wary about purchasing a used STi. Most people beat the hell out of them. I personally don't, but mine isn't up for sale.
I would go with a 2006 TR for about $22,000 if I were in your shoes. Otherwise, I'd be buying a 2006 STI.
