00 Impreza 2.5RS Hesitation

I've seen a couple of postings here about this problem. My car hops when it is idling and when I acclerate from a stop it hesitates. I have had the ignition switch replaces as well as the spark plugs. Still no help. It seems to run well for a day or so, but then starts acting up again. Recently it has gotten so bad that the car dies after I start it, and feels like it is going to die when I accelerate. Does anyone know for sure what this problem is...I don't want to keep dumping $5-600 in it to see if that will work! BTW - it is an automatic.

Subaru hesitation

I had a problem everytime I tried to acclerate hard, I switched out my aftermarket intake, dumped fuel injector cleaner in the tank, and changed the fuel filter. Havent had a problem yet and it's been a week, maybe yours is a little more severe but fuel filter and injectors should help if it's a lack of fuel problem that makes it hesitate.

i put in NGK Blue Lines and irridium plugs. Problem solved.

i agree with silverrim, i see that you already changed your plugs id go ahead and change the wires as well. Some new wires might make a large difference, i recommened making a diagram of how the wires looked before you replace them. Also noting which length wire was in which position. A buddy of mine once screwed his up and it was a pain to get them back in the right order and placement. Might also try replacing the cap that the wires are pluged into, AS far as I know these items are somewhat inexpensive compared with getting something major replaced.
