Yakima, Thule and other racks (for 2003 WRX?)

Hello everyone

I am about to drive to Mt.hood for snowboarding

from Philly

and I need something that can carry at least two snowboards

I'll be selling my car soon so i dont need a fancy system

I also dont have much money either, has anyone attempted to make their own rack system?

What alternatives do I have?

if its only temp i wouldnt even buy a rack before i had racks i just slid the boards through the middle i even fit 4 thru the middle lol

two block of high density foam

racheting tie downs

lay the two pieces of foam across the top of the car from one side to the other. lay the board on top. use the straps to cinch it down. make sure you thread the straps through your bindings so the boards dont slip out from underneath.
