WRX not starting
My friend has had a strange issue with his new WRX:
A few times, when somewhat cold out (55 degrees), his car has failed to turn over on the first turn key. Then he lets the car sit for a bit, tries again and it works. Any ideas or similar experiences?
Thanks

In New England, we don't hit 55 degree weather for 4 or 5 months of the year. It could be a number of things, but it does sound like the battery. I'd say take it to the dealer to have them check it out, rather than replacing the battery and finding out that's not it. If it is the battery and it died within a year, it was definitely defective and should be replaced under warranty.

Yeah, I have this sort of problem too. Although its not regular. Im no expert but I have a feeling its not the battery or starter, its something to do with fuel injection or something. havent gotten it looked at yet cause its not really a big deal. it always starts on the second try. anyone else?

It happens every so often, not very frequently. I also dont think it is directly dependent on the weather cause it happend to me this fall in New England when it was 55-60 degrees. At that time my rex was only a couple months old. It still happens occasionally tho... my heart stops every time it happens...
