WRX HP rating

Hello all. new WRX owner here with a few questions. First does anyone know what the HP rating at the wheels is. Next when I turn on the headlights I hear a click from the glovebox, this normal? Also I'm having a little bit of trouble getting into reverse, I'm having to put in first and releasing the clutch so slightly then trying to put in reverse, anyone else having this problem.

I don't have a WRX, but in my Integra, I had trouble getting into 1st gear sometimes (from a dead stop). Double clutching seemed to get the synchros lined up (or worked for some other magical reason). Try letting the clutch out in neutral, reving the the engine a little, and then putting the clutch in and shifting. Who knows, it may work for the WRX.

I don't have actual numbers but I have heard the whp of a stock WRX is around 180 hp.
The clicking noise is common. I think it is normal, just a bit loud.
Reverse is not syncroed as far as I know so that is normal. I hear putting it in first then reverse will help you get it in.

Every manual transmission car I have owned or driven has done this. I actually looked over the owners manual to the WRX and found out what the manufacturer's solution is:
Put the car in neutral, engage the clutch, disengage the clutch, then put it in reverse. Works perfectly.

Next: Yup. The relay in/near the glove box is turning on your headlights. IT is new and happy about its job. Later it will be old and complain about its job. Like my ex wife
Also; Yep, that's my tranny! search in the fora about oils and transmissions, etc. Some say a different oil helps, some say it dont. Ya pays your moneyand ya takes your chances.
I hear that the Porsche C4 (the car Automobile mag compared my little buggy too) may do these things too sometimes. Their owners paid three times as much and therefore brag about it. They call it character though.

If anyone wants me to email them my dyno graphs hit me up for them foreverimajugalo@aol.com . My HP was 164.5, and 152.6 ft/lb.
As for the tranny go to the dealer and get them to put the big buck subaru oil in it. Just tell them about the tranny, they said the same thing about mine, well the oil helps a little bit, but didn't stop it all the way. Hope it helps
