It's great! But most women don't do it for the attention factor or to "get guys"... that stuff is just a bonus. I'm personally in love with my car and rally and racing and all of that and I couldn't care less who does or doesn't notice.
If anyone has seen Initial D... where Maya (sp?) (with the "sil-80") is talking about how you can't be a racer and have a boyfriend and that whole speech... She's dead on right. Everything she says in that speech is very accurate.
In my experience... guys think you're "way cool" to be a girl that’s a racer and into cars and all that, but in the past 4 years I’ve been doing this... not one has asked me out. Guys want a girl-friend that's into cars, but a girlfriend/SO that is a cute little Barbie twiglette that doesn't know the first thing about cars.
Guys always talk about how cool it would be if their GF is into cars, but the truth is guys just want a girl that will stand next to them and look cute.

I believe Maya is the USDM version, her name in the JDM version is Mako, and I don't know what they called the other girl in the USDM version, but her name is Sayoko.

I like to watch WRC events, and will start watching some ProRally stuff in the near future, but much past that I'm not as interested. Someone like you that knows all of this stuff and lives it would be overwhelming for me
