What is this emblem I keep seeing everywhere?!?

Everyone has one on their grill instead of the traditional badge, i don't know what it is. Does it have meaning? What is it? Is it specific to this forum? There is a used wrx for sale in my home town with it, please somebody explain it to me... Do I need one? Haha, call me a noob I don't care!

nevermind... figured it out, its a subaru part, I for impreza, kinda a JDM thing? im not sure, maybe not, but cool... thanks guys.
