Well you can start moding it from 1200miles,BUT if there are any future problems with the car like clutch shudder your warrenty will be voided from the mods and you will have to dish out the cash yourself. I got a 04 wrx to and im waiting till i hit 5000 before i do any serious mods. peace.

congratulations

it's all up to you when you want to start your mods. if you do your mods and something happens to your car the dealer could void your warranty.

but do it after breaking in your car

I would wait until you know what mods you want and you have enough money to buy them. Any later than that is too long.

I am also sort of waiting until the warranty is up to some point...

I am doing suspension as well first well... besides a couple cosmetic items, shift ****, sti scoop, etc. no front lip or painted side skirts until next spring.. I figure I don't want the salt f'ing anything up as far as painted side skirts...etc But it's going to get some eibach springs..etc

As far as hp goes.... Is it me or does the car REALLY pull at 3 and 4th gear... my car especially pulls AWESOME at 4th gear... My first gear blows unless I am going to 5k or 5.5k rpms.... 2nd is alright, but nothing great... I hate it when I am stopped and damn ****ty car beats me by a good comple car lengths... this is NORMAL driving, I have never raced, nor do I want to for a while!

wait till you break it in to get an exhaust. i dont think it will void warranty, especially if its cat back...it also depends on how mod friendly your dealers are. they have to prove the problem was from the mod and not something else
