are the wagons any cheaper to insure?

While I can't say for sure, In general I would guess that a wagon is going to be a little cheaper to insure, reason being, that they are looked at more as a "family car" or "grocery getter", and while this image is changing, I think it is still the case more often then not. If the reason your asking is because you are trying to decide which to purchase (wagon or sedan) Why not call around to a couple of insurance companies or check out a web site like www.progressive.com (which if Im not mistaken will give you instant quotes from multiple companies)
As for other advantages, of a wagon (again this is if you are comparing it to the same model sedan) You get better cargo space with the wagon even if the rear seats of the sedan fold down completly and don't just have a "pass-thru" since you can get "taller" items in the back of a wagon. In general things like gas milage and 0-60 times (if your talking about performance) might vary, but again it depends on what model car you are talking about.
Wow, wrote a fair amount and not sure if it help's or answered your question.......Oh well!
Anyone else have anything to add?

I didn't have a burn for the wagon, but if it was cheaper it was cheaper, ya know. I wanted a silver sedan and found a blue. Close enough

I went with the wagon over the Sedan because it's only ~100lbs heavier than the Sedan, it's a bit cheaper and a lot more practical if I ever need to move anything from one place to another.
