Ultimate Newbie Question
Here goes...can someone give me a hand, and let me know the best recommendations as far as performance goes? What to purchase, in what order, etc... Also, can someone let me know on what electonics to purchase? I have ben told downpipe, up pipe, and exhaust...what else would help? I am purchasing a 2004 WRX tomorrow, and would like to get started on its modifications as soon as possible. And anyone telling me to search is just incredibly uncreative...I am asking for help/suggestions, not pathetically needless sarcasm.

Your goin to mod a brand new rex? Damn i wish i had that kind of money!
But nah i wouldnt waste money on an STi (dont get me wrong they are wiked machines), i would get a rex and spend the remainder on turbo, exhaust, fmic, computer, rims, stereo and possibly a retrim!
Quicker then an STi and more eye catching 2

1. I didn't want an STi...otherwise that is what I would be purchasng...
2. I am not auditioning for Fast and Furious 3...I wantto modify the car bc that is what I want to do...not bc you are so incredibly uncreative that all you can associate instant modifications with are lame ricer flicks..
3. I already have rims and tires sitting aside to go on it, as well as a complete ICE setup...A/V and all...i have more money to spend, and would just like to know some good things to look into...

You should really drive a car for a few weeks or a few months until you know it backwards and forwards. Then you can address any shortcomings via modification. If a car is modded from mile one, how can you truly appreciate the benefits of the mods when thats all you've ever known? But, thats just my opinion, and I could be wrong. Its your car, do whatever gives you the biggest grins.
BTW, who dosen't want an STi?

For all we know you may be a bad **** driver but I would bet not. Seriously, drive the car stock (you can put the new wheels and tires on, that was going to be my first suggestion) and see what you think needs to be changed. I drove my car mostly stock (tires) for about a year before modding anything. But I bought my car to actually drive it (autox and lapping days) and I try to make myself a better driver in doing so.
What are your plans for your new relationship? Showcar? Autocross? Track? Drag? Each one will need different things.
And calm down. Did you happen to own a honda before the WRX?
