Turbo reliability
Hi this has probably ask numerous times? But is 20g turbo on 07 sti with forge pistons and supporting mods pretty reliable? Or just stick to the stock turbo? It's because it's my daily driver. It eats up about 25000 miles a year
Wow, 25,000 a year. How hard do you drive your car? The 20g will work just fine and be reliable, it's all in the tune.
I would go with the Blouch 1.5xtr with 10cm. That turbo is nasty, someone installed one on 2011 STi and it out spooled the 20g buy a lot. Check that 1.5xtr out, if you want some more HP I would check the 2.5xtr out! Both great turbos, ATP makes a nice ATP3071 that works great.

Get in touch with an actual tuner and see what they can do for you.
My opinion is that it would be fine for your car if tuned correctly and you drove properly as well as maintained the car properly.
Seems pretty self explanatory but I will leave that to the professionals to decide.
