totally crap for gas mileage

ok, i just got back from iraq last week and i've been driving my sti around, now i can't help but notice im only getting like 200-225 miles to a full tank a gas, and of course as we should all do i put premium gas, so heres the problem, before i deployed to iraq i was getting between 265-305 miles to a full tank of gas. Now i now this is not a gas saver however theres been weeks where i granny shifted and got over 300 miles to a full tank, so my better half says i might need a new fule filter since its been sitting for a full year plus my cold air intake cone is fairly dirty and not the type that can be replaced. i know this is a long thread but i need some advise, please help me my suby brothers, give me your thoughts, thanks so much.

I usually get about 225 miles to a tank around town, '02 Wagon Stg. 2. I get on it occasionally but mostly shift before 3500 RPM. Are you filling at the same stations? Same quality of Gas?

Consider yourself lucky - I run California's watery excuse for 91 octane. Give the filter a bath and run through a couple of tanks the way you prefer to drive, it might just take a little readjusting after being gone for a while. I'm no guru, but best of luck.
