Top Speed Subaru? HOw to?
WOnderin to get some insight from your guys on how to make a
top speed wrx. also what u guys think the top speed of a subaru
could be?

The '01, '02, '03 governor is set at 135. . . I don't know about the '04's but I am sure with the right gears and a few horsepower mods you could squeeze at least 165 out of it.

You sure about that? Car and Driver recorded a drag limited 145 MPH top speed on a stock 2002 WRX.

to go fast get a body kit that will help,use logic since most are show(mainly real spoiler and front lip).get diffusers to put under the bottom of the car,something thin and light even wood would work.lower it ant least 1.5 inches coilovers would be geat cuz you could really slam it to run fast then raise it for the real world.Mod the hell out of it,it needs a bigger turbo say avo450,vf22,garret to make as much power as possible.
Saftey:at least buy real tires that are made for running say v or z rated and it would be a good idea to get some real brake because its hard to stop at 140+(which is as fast as i have gotten the car).AND WATCH OUT FOR COPS

Only the autos (120) and STi (155) are speed-limited.
So, to make it a top-speed machine:
1) good suspension, some aero improvements to keep it attached to the pavement and shiny-side up
2) BIG Turbo (something like Green, 1820, or larger... how fast do you want to go?)
3) BIG FMIC
4) 3" turboback exhaust
5) better internals (with high flow cams, etc)... Maybe one of the Axis Power Racing blocks...
6) Proper engine management
7) money burning a hole in your pocket, through the floor

the spedo only goes to 140 but i had mine buried at 140 and i think it quit after that. it just stops going faster. as for handling at high speeds, at 140 it took the bends like a beast. better have good tires though, and smoth steering, 140 is fast.

there is only one thing that limits your WRX's top end speed......and that thing is CASH, MONEY, GREEN, PAPER, whatever the heck you wanna call it........the more of it you have the faster you'll be

Put a large turbo on an SVX and tune the crap out of it for the high end including gearing (throw a 6-speed on there). That should hit 170 Those things are nice and aerodynamic.
