Question Subiefest II

OK. Call me crazy ~ But, these guys are hopeless! The second Subiefest at PIR on April 7th just happens to be on a day that the BMW Owners Club has control of the track for their 'track day'!!!

They are nice enough to be 'sharing' the track with Subiefest, but am I missing something here???

So, go figure.

WHY is this the date of the event. Now they will be running 'Time Attack' around the timing of the BMW guys... who have 1st dibs on the track and track time (rightfully so)!

Place foot under gun and pull trigger...

Maybe we can have someone else sponsor 'Subiefest'? Someone who truly can make this the biggest and best Subaru meet in the US. The potential is here ~ Suby owners are 'rabid' in the NW.

Another 'lost opportunity'... Whatyathink?

Question

So what you're saying is,

they ( the organizes) picked of all days, a day that was NOT open and so now we have to "share" it with BMW owners?

Umm how about we do it a week later or before?......

These are the same guys who pick a date in NOVEMBER for an OUTDOOR car show! and they LIVE here in the Northwest! (They were incredibly lucky with the weather, eh?).

Yes. That's right. It's a Subaru/BMW outing. If you got an M-3 laying around you can run quick times on the track in between 'Time Attacks'! :rotfl:

CORRECTION! Already clarified on another forum:

"People, people, people. Learn to read...... Subiefest is on a SATURDAY!

Confirmed: Time Attack (all day), Project Car Touge Battle (noon), Grudge Match Drags (evening)
Autocross in the N. Paddock (all day), massive all-Subaru car show (all day).

Open Track Lapping Available on Friday, April 6. (in association with the BMW club)."

Seems 1st posts had the BMW track day listed as Saturday, not Friday! WRONG.

*** But, it is on Easter weekend :-( ***
