Subaru=GM

So if Saab is owned by GM and some of the Saab plateforms like the 9-2 come from subaru, whats the deal.

Oh yeah i read in AUTO WEEK that GM has there hands in Subaru a little bit.

Please convince me this is not remotly true.

the 9-2 will be a saab badged Impreza
saab is owned by GM as is sub. to 50%
saab have a welth of talent to input
into subaru gene pool, (Rally,Turbos, etc)
apart from Alfa I couldn't think of better bedfellows.

GM owns 20% marketshare of Fuji Heavy Industries, which as we all know is the parent company for Subaru, thus the influence and technology from GM trickels down.

How do you think the new Foresters and expensive Outbacks have OnStar?

For Garbage Motors sake, they need Subaru technology trickle down. The Baja concept was designed before the rubbermade-- oops I mean avalanche. So who made who? or who copped whos design?

gm owns 30% of subaru stock...they are coming out with the 9-2 which will be like the wrx except a little more money 25-30000

I thought it was pretty funny when removed my door-lock/window module from the driver's door yesterday. On the bottom of the part it is clearly molded with NISSAN....

I remember reading a few years ago that Subaru and Nissan shared some parts and technology. Yeah, the seatbelt holder on my '00 Impreza coupe says "Nissan."

BTW, to AUSSIE, GM also has a hand in Fiat/Alfa Romeo, and may take an even bigger share soon. Damn GM! I think its a conspiracy by The Man to keep us all down. I mean they are #1 in the world for some reason.

GM has technology- they have that fold forwardfront seat (Vibe and Vue). Thats it though.

I really wish that my POS GM credit card could go towards a Subaru. It goes towards SAABs, Hummers.......no Subaru!!!
