Wow, that is some of the worst 3D modeling and rendering I've seen in a long time -- rest assured, the car in that "photo" does not exist. People really need to STOP creating these CGI wish lists and photoshopped wannabes; I don't know of any car other than the STI which has so many fakes floating around.
looks like a layout from Max Power - a european tuner mag. they have tons of photochopped cars, a bunch done by readers for contests and shtuff.

That is by far the best 06 front-end-speculation I've seen though. The only thing that is not cool is the huge wing tacked on to the back. I'd vote for giving the Wagons the fender flares too. Think about it Subaru, not having the wagon and sedan different will even save money.

Corvette speculation pictures for any new generation easily outnumber those for the STi. That said, I think a lightweight hatch is a great idea. That is the direction all the other WRC cars are taking (including the quasi-hatch peugeot) and I like it.

i think FHI is behind all this publicity bad press releases by "outside" sources... that way when the real thing comes out we will appreciate it for what it is... imho...

That isn't really a hatch is it? Isn't that basically just a STi wagon? If they make a hatchback, I want two doors, and hopefully a coupe while their at it. But it does seem the front is looking better in each chop, some of the first ones were horrific, but some of these newer ones I could just about live with.
As long as its not as ugly as the B9, I will be happy.
