what is the size and thread pitch of the shift knob on the Impreza? I am trying to find a screw on knob.

i think it's 12mm X 1.25 threading... if you are buying after market, usually they have adaptor inserts for all sizes..

I have a universal **** now, I just prefer the feel of a screw on ****( doesn't have that big peice under the ball)

I remember reading a long time ago about an adaptor ring from a Pepsi bottle???

that's right, i went to a car parts store and they had different sizes and checked it against my kartboy ****. it's hard to find... some ***** i was looking at had a 'toyota/subaru' thread pattern but those ended up being 10x1.25 which doesn't fit. the only ones i know of are : kartboy, prodrive, greddy, momo
