Shift knob changeout/03 WRX wagon

Shift **** changeout/03 WRX wagon

The original **** when unscrewed stays with the boot. Not wanting to screw this process up, is there a sleeve extending down thru the boot which can be pulled out? Installing Momo.

Just pull the **** out of the boot, the boot won't connect with your Momo ****, but don't worry, it looks alright when reassembled. I have a Momo Raptor shift **** in my '02 and I was a little concerned that the boot would sag down, no problem though.
