Save The Impreza!

After reviewing the latest pictures of the new 08 WRX, I puked in my mouth a little, and I spent a while sobbing... What's happened here? In spite of all the advances they alledge in performance and handling, if I was given one, I would sell it immediately, it's too damn ugly.

I've been very disappointed in subaru over the past few years, the designs have been going WAY downhill. So I want to start a petition to send to Subaru America to ask them to kindly, please, stop making ugly cars and get back to making cars that look as good as they drive. Please, save the Impreza.

Anyone else feel like I do?

i say give it a chance man. theres always used scoobs to go out and buy if you dont like the newer ones. no ones forcing it on you. but you never know whats to come of it. maybe in a few months itll grow on you. just give it time. if anything the lack of sells might make them change the design back, who knows.

That's exactly right! I thought the pignose ones were horrendous when they first came out. They grew on me, and now they're my next favorite after my 04. Just wait till one is modded and you'll change your mind.

Once you see one with a body kit or front lip and new tail lights you will be changing up a little. If not, just wait for the 2010 model and save your money.

I feel your pain brotha! Bodykits aside, I can't see myself buying a new wrx. Although it does make the old school bug eyes DAMN cheap! Project car perhaps

Eh... Everytime there is a new Impreza redesign, most people hate it.... and then they start liking it. I loved the bugeye, the peter stevens redesign, and the latest aircraft grille (actually like this one the most) at first sight. This one, I didn't (mostly because of it's stupid grille), but it's already grown on me. Plus, if the STI is anything like R&T expects it to be, then it will be the BEST looking Impreza since the GC8.

^ Hatchbacks>Sedans. It's about time that Subaru joined everyone else who's running a hatch in the WRC (for a reason too). In my Focus hatch, I was able to carry 4 autocross wheels in the back (they fit perfectly, and there was room left). Not so with my WRX Sedan (wish I got a wagon). Also, due to the fact that it's a hatch, the understeering tendencies will probably subside (we all know the GD wrx/sti tends to plow quite a bit). I think that both the Evo X and the STI look brilliant (don't know which looks best though).

^^ I never had any problems with my WRX understeering, hell my first and only accident was because of OVERsteer.
