Dumping the clutch isn't a practice i would recommend. You MR2 didn't put near the strain on your tranny an AWD car will.

My buddy has an s2k and what I have heard from him is that to get a good launch from the s2k, you have to rev it to like 5 grand and dump the clutch. The car has no torque, and cannot launch well at all. It is definitely not a straight line car. Your WRX should kill it. Just dont challenge him to an autocross...
