ROOF scoop question

Anyone have any roof scoops they are personally fond of.
I wanna get one really bad and i have no idea which one i would rather have. ive seen 2 so far. and they are junkies

any suggestions would be nice.

what is the purpose of the scoop? does give it better performance or is a look thing?

ive seen them on the rally car and i was just wondering how it worked. like, where the air goes? how it gets there? is it like an intake or what? im new and just want to learn so don't make fun of me.

i believe there is a picture of a roof scoop in the for sale forum? i think. anyone someone posted a picture of the inside of a car which had aroof scoop and basically there is a hatch that you can open from the inside and so it woudl actually just be directing air into the car. useful i guess if you don't have a sunroof and in rally so they don't have to open the windows or something ya know? but yea i think it just directs the air into the cabin.

Seeing as rally cars have no A/C they need some way to get cool fresh air into the cabin. there is a handle on the inside that opens the vent. all it does is provide some cooling comfort for the driver when it gets hot.

i was reading this thing about the scoops and it said not to have them open after 50mph because they might fly away or something. but i dont understand what the difference would be wiether the scoop was opened or closed. either way wouldnt it fly away if that was the case?

umm, wrc cars average over 70mph on some stages, reaching speeds over 100mph, so i think if they are put on correctly, then no they won't go anywhere.

If anything the scoop would be LESS likely to fly off when open because the air would be flowing into the car instead of having nowhere to go and being crammed into the scoop's pocket resulting in more resistance.
