well fri night I will be heading to buttonwillow raceway from Phoenix Az. It will no doubt be the longest run in the sti (thanks sub for 6 disc cd player). I am going to work in a pit crew, and can only hope to put the car on track during lunch! I hope to see other sti owners there and on the way!

 

Sounds like fun. Can you drive a few hundred miles out of the way to Houston and pick me up?

Thats awesome! Had a friend that worked in a pit crew for the summer and just had a blast! He only stopped because it was costing too much money.

 

wow, I just got in from the trip and I am beat! the race went well, we took 2nd to a car that had a significant hp advantage . but no excusses. The sti turn out was awsome. It it looked like every team had a member that owned one. I think A sti won its class in a sprint race. I only wish I had the chance to talk to some of the other owners. ok, my top speed in the sti was 150! and that’s only because I lifted at that speed. I just didn’t have the guts to keep going. the car felt fine, I just thought 150 was fast enough on a open empty road.
