rims and tire ideas.

2012 wrx. I'm looking for a new set of rims an tires. what do you guys recommend. I'm looking for a 17 or 18 inch rim. I'm trying to go wide so i don't have to get spacers. It would be awesome if you guys can shoot me some ideas. What I'm working with....

Not sure what help you're expecting. The only preferences you stated were 17-18" wheels...which is pretty much all of them. Keep in mind that you don't want to go too wide. "Flush" setups are more often than not bad for performance and bad for the car.

9.75 is how wide i wanna go. I've seen xxrs and rotas. But what is a "legit" wheel that subaru owners put on their cars?

That's not flush. That will stick out past the fenders and make your car look right out of a Tijuana chop shop. It's a heinously bad configuration and I highly recommend you pick something with better fitment for the sack of aesthetics, convenience, cost, performance, and long term reliability.

You underestimate the space in the new widebodies. 9.5" will fit fine.

18x9.75 +25 will stick out past the fenders. And even an 18x9.5 +38 is not a good Subaru fitment unless you're running 275/30/18s for race applications.

Why are you assuming low offsets? Of course +25 will stick out. That's an aggressive offset. Anything +40 and higher will be fine.

you come in posting on all wheel threads and give people bs info. you do not have a gr. do some research before posting.

OP: 18x9.5 +38 fits easily on your car and you can fit 265s. want to run stock camber and 265s? you can try a +40 offset as well. stick with rotas over XXR

If you want rotas just go to wheeldude's site, anything you want is there. tires too. They know their products.

XXR doesn't make a 9.75" +40 or higher.

And what BS info have I posted? That's right, none. Because if it wasn't correct I wouldn't be posting it because it would be a disservice to do so.

The simple point is that there are enough Subaru ricers out there to go around. We don't need more.

Yea because you base your info on dated details(wheel bearings, 17x8 is ideal). and to top that off you dont even realize he has a gr sedan, as in widebody from the factory. Your 02 does not have that. And im not the only one who feels this way, people have called you out on a couple posts on iwsti.

OP:Guide to fitting wheels and tires to the 2011+ WRX - NASIOC read up on that for proper fitment for your car. And PM if you got any questions I will help you out

Who has said anything about wheel bearings or 17x8? Where do you get that I didn't know he had a GR, esp when it's clear as day in his detail and in his pics....? All you've done is throw out assumptions, and thus far you're 0 for 3.

The people on IWSTI have also fallen flat on their faced on their attempts to rebuff what I've said.
