i think chiltons has one. probobly haynes, too. ask here:

I have both the Chiltons and Haynes. If I had to choose I'd say get the Haynes, it's a little more specific. Still they are cheap enough to get both. I got mine at the local autozone but Amazon carries them too.

i couldnt find a haynes or chiltons for a 97 impreza even on their websites.

Sorry I had a brain fart, for some reason I was thinking Legacy, I have those manuals not Impreza. Even so they are helpful in a limited way because the motor parts are very similar.
