This rattle is driving me nuts..

Got a rattle somewhere around the driver's side door near the handle/latch and it's driving me aboslutely batty. Not to mention I first heard it just 3 days after buying the car new off the lot. Where can I take it to have someone identify the rattle and eliminate it? Should I take it to a subaru dealership or are there specialists? I don't care if it costs $100 to fix, I just don't want to do it myself. I'm too worried about mucking something up. Any suggestions?

is it the new 04 WRX? well anyways take ur car bak to the dealership, u still have warrranty and they will fix anything for free.

Not if it's an STi... Sti's are sports cars people, they will make noise.

i bet it is the vin number plate on the front of the dash.
trying pressing down the dash to test whether or not the noise will go away.

I have a rattle at the top portion of the dor near the pop-lock. It just started on my '03. I have had the car 2 days. It is already sending me over the edge.

I wanted to also comment of door dings...they suck! I just noticed two on the passenger door that had to have occured at dealership. I haven't driven it anywhere. I believe they will take care of it. Will post again to advise on outcome.

That's exactly where my rattle is. Well, it's where it would be had I a pop-lock.

Sounds stupid, but it could be your antenna. Heard a couple of these types of posts were antennas. banging the A-pillar.

The antenna is built into the back windshield on the 2004 models. Well, at least the STi it is.
