Dunno whether or not this was the right section, because I don't think it fits into any of the GD/GC forums.

I've got an '04 WRX and noticed today while I was leaving my friends house that the car had just died on me while I was driving fairly slow. I thought I'd left it in gear by accident, restarted the car and went on my way. Later on I was reversing out of a parking space and when I went to put the car in 1st it died again, so I restarted it and continued, got to a stop sign 5 feet away and it died. Started again, got 20 minutes to my house and parked it. Didn't have a problem at stop lights or when I slowed down.

I know I need a tune and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it? I've only had the car for about 2 weeks. Help please?

p.s it normally idles in the 900rpm range... and the battery light comes on when it dies. Hoping its not something engine related

 

i have 2003wrx and the same thing happens to me from time to time. i'd be rolling to a stop and the engine just dies.
