just curious to know if the local dealers by you guys carry the 04 wrx with the premium package. do you guys think it is worth it? in my area i have not seen a single rex driving around with the package and haven't seen any on the dealer lots. i would want to get it, but first i would want to see the leather seats and the moonroof. i know it comes with the spoiler and the de-icers as well. what do you guys think of it? i know the car might be slower with it, but if i'm going to buy a fast car, i wouldn't mind having that stuff as well since i know i'm going to stick with a *** car as long as i can.

no, most dealers around me didn't have many with the premium package. out of ~20 wrx's they had, maybe 2 were premium'd. i special-ordered mine (~6-8 weeks, had 6 miles on it when i got it) and love it. mainly wanted the sunroof, but i'm sure the heated stuff will be nice when i'm sent to NY for work next jan. (i'm in GA now). the seats get nice and toasty...

I would get it just for the sunroof. That's the one thing I wish my WRX had - but then I'd have to deal with the new body style

I would have liked the roof but I don't like heated seats.

Leather seats are not part of that package.

IMHO, if you drive it in cold weather, the Premuim Package is worth it. If you like a power moonroof, it is worth it. My WRX has the premuim package and I didn't think twice about that option.

Weird, the dealer i bought my car from (04 OBS) all of their WRX sedans seemed to have the Premium package. They also had a large number of WRX wagons(like atleast 6 and this isn't a high volume dealer). Maybe it's the area I'm in.

The premium package is a bit pricey, but if you like the options then it's worth it.

I have seen one at Ira Subaru in Peabody. It is rather nicely installed. However, I would prefer the moonroof from the pre WRX Imprezas, the glass goes above the roof to save headroom.

Unfortunately, when I get my WRX, I'm getting a wagon-no premium package available.
