Hey everyone, do you think that the premium package [moonroof and spoiler?] are worth the extra $1500 plus the wait? I called dealers [renick and others] and they said i would have to order it from the factory. i guess im spoiled cuz i had a moonroof in my past car, us californians need the sun! do you miss what you dont have??

In addition to the moonroof and spoiler, you get heated seats and the windshield deicer. It is definitely worth the money. I could live without the heated seats and windshield deicer, but not without the moonroof and spoiler. I didn't have to wait long for mine. A simple locate turned one up in NYC.

i had a sunroof in my old car and it was great cause i could stand up with my head out the top and drive at the same time
but the subi's roof is a lil higher and i dont have one in my 04 . Of course i miss it but im just gonna end up trading my car in for an STi eventually. (thats as long as the rumor that STi's have been blowing motors isnt true)

Hey everyone thanks for the replies,
the deal is, i want to get the car soon, by the end of the month because i'm gonna need around a month to really get driving stick down. this will be MY OWN stick car that i drive regularly, vs driving friend's. I'm in southern california and NO ONE has any 04's with premium packages on order yet.
Also do you think that a black 04 with spoiler and upgraded security is a good deal for $25,864.59 out the door ?

Car Info: TXS tbe, perrin goodies, v7 sti struts...bla bla bla lots of stuff!
My dad has a Jeep grand cherokee limited.. It has the heated seats, moon roof and heated mirrors..etc. I just got my 03' rex. Minus ALL of that... I must say I miss the moon roof and heated mirrors. But I'm over it now. Since your in CA you won't really be getting snow... right? Here in PA I will def. miss the heated mirrors for the fact that when you get ice on them it sucks to not have them heated :-( As far as heated seats go, they are great till they break. The driver's side heated seat no no longer "heats" lol, and of course it happened out side of the warranty... Guess how much it costs to fix it.... almost $960. Needless to say my dad said his *** will just be cold for a few minutes until the car warms up..lol
Point I'm trying to make is if YOU think the extra $1500 is worth it? To me I would go without it and put that $1500 into something that will make the car have better performance, IE: complete exhaust system.
That's what I am doing now, I got two small things for looks(matching dead pedal and a front bumber trim plate) techenically 3 if you count the windows being tinted in the near future.. other than that I am going for ALL performance mods.
:-)

Ok.....so i went to Stevens Creek Subaru. They offered me a 04 WRX Java Blk with: security upgrade, armrest extension, and spoiler for 26k out the door. Is that a good price? What did everyone pay for their 04 WRX?

Long Island (Brown's Subaru in Patchogue) I paid $25,200 for my 2004 WRX:
1) San Remo Red 5-Speed
2) Premium Package
3) Upgrade Security Alarm
4) Auto-Dimming Mirror
5) Arm Rest Extender
This price does not include sales tax and the new Lo Jack Active Vehicle Recovery (I paid $600 but MSRP is $900)
MSRP with this setup is: $27,103
Invoice is: $24,747
Edmunds.com True Market Value: $25,686 (Average price paid in specified region)
Ask for Kathy Kelleher if you go there and tell her that Scott sent you. :-)
The best offer from any other Long Island dealer was $26,100 so this was a good deal for me.
Of course, if you are financing a loan, the APR is probably just as important. I got 4.5% (5 year) with my FICO credit score of 755.
