dont you hate it when your friends tell you about a forum or you read about a forum in a magazine and you go there try to be helpfull in your own way and realize that most the people there are ******. I have just encountered this with another forum who I will not name

My first post there was "what would be the best way to get 250hp out of a naturaly asperated rs?" there was no responce for 5 days then some one said 'find some ***** and get a wrx' and the trasing continued from there.
I have sence sought help of more of a tec. vorioty ex.. head gasket replacement tips, how to this, how to that. and not one of the jokers there were able to answer any of the questions.
I posted pictures of body accesorys i like and think look good and ask if any one has pictures of simmular body styles with simmular accesorys to see my options and have gotten back responces like 'keep it stock it looks less rice'... I dident think that was an option.
the last straw came when some one wanted to know how to wire something and the only 5 posts were 'your a noob' ect.. I told him how he could do simple wireing that would be safe and not require solder by wrapping a leg of a fuse for a power sorce and sandwiching the negitive to a metal to metal contact under the dash for a ground.
I admit this is not an ideal wireing situation but i know how intimadating it can be to try to solder for the first time and how paranoied some are about hacking up there stock wireing.
one of the moderators pointed that out, i explained that it is safe I have used that method for many years , and i stand buy it... well the penut gallery chimed in and started trying to convince me Im a hack i dont know what im talking about im going to get some one killed like that ect ect.... when the only advice any one else gave him was 'surch for my instal thread' and 'did you do a surch'.
I hate when you think you have found a good resorce and all you have found where a bunch of tools wating to tare some one appart that are too affrade to post solutions for fear of falling under a watchfull eye themselfs...

i have asked some of the dumbest questions and alli have gotten back is awsome anwsers so i dont think u will have to worry about people calling u a noob and all that other BS. the truth is i bet most of the people on that site are 18 year olds that think they know everything.

trust me i know i am one. but when it comes to my car i would rather it done right and safe to my car then cheap and gheto. I-club is by far the best forum i have found awsome people

 

yes, I love this sight.. It's just the other one, all i have seen from them is bitterness and an unwillingness to help any one.
ah well i admit that this post was written out of spite and anger... ah well all i know is im never going back there.

I live in macomb (22mile and romeo plank right across from the waldenburg bar!!)
I work at 11mile and mound and make regular trips out to hodges especially latly with the head gasket project just wrapping up.

 

Yeah Hodges is about a mile from me. That place is great....Good guys there.

Im a new to subarus too, but reading here and nabisco forum is helping me learn alot about awd/turbos/etc but before i registered here ive been a guest.

the flaming on the other forum to new people is just ridicolous!
