New to the whole thing but springs??

I haven't ever been part of a forum before, I have an 06 Impreza WRX Limited and am 20 years old. I'm sure I'm going to do something's people might find stupid or foolish but regardless it's gunna be fun. With that being said I just got Tein Stech lowering springs, anyone have some constructive thoughts?

I havent ever run them personally but they will improve your stance and ride quality. Just keep in mind that lowering springs on stock struts will eventually blow your struts...

Welcome to the forums. I-club is like a family. Beware of nasioc... theres a ton of good info there but they will flame you for anything they consider to be dumb...

A lot of people talk down on them, but I have them on my 2008 WRX for close to a year and enjoy them

look into having your stock struts revalved by FEAL unless you want to buy all new struts. Once they revalve them, you will have a much better quality ride when coupled with the tien springs. just my .02 cents...

Feal doesn't touch WRX struts.

My constructive thoughts on your S-Tech springs is that you need to return them. They are garbage.

At this very moment, I am getting my Slam Techs taken off, and Swift Sport Machs put in. Never gonna look back.

I have them on my car right now. I honestly don't like them. I was gonna save for coilovers, but it's too the point where I can't take it anymore. I'm getting sti pinks in the meantime. To me they're too low... Idk, I'm just not a fan. But welcome to iclub! Great forum that's a fact...
I wouldn't recommend Stechs, but some people like them. I wouldn't say I hate them... I would rather have a better spring though.
Just my .02

The Stechs lower too much for the stock strut with a really low spring rate for the drop IMO. If you already have them go ahead but be prepared to buy some replacement struts. Some have used them on Konis/Dspecs but still not a good combination.

If you want some decently low springs with good progressive rates, definitely look into swift sports, the r-spec will be less of a drop with more agressive rates for handling.

Cobb had ones that lowered the car a good amount but are hard to source these days.
