Welcome to I-club.

I was looking at those armrests a while back. I decided not to get one after I drove someones car who had one.

I kept hitting my elbow on it when shifting to 2nd or 4th. This is most likely because I am used to not having one, but just my thoughts.

Have fun!

I have it and hated it at first. I kept bumping my elbow on it. I have since learned to live with it and now appreciate the extra storage space.

The optional armrest fits some people better than others. I like mine a lot. I usually keep both hands on the wheel but it's nice to be able to rest my elbow on something during longer drives.

I bought my armrest used from another member. I think I paid $70. It was in excellent condition. If you buy it used, just make sure they include the little bracket piece.

I've got the extended armrest on both of my cars and would really miss it on any long trip. Easy to install.

Welcome aboard!
A lazy driver like me would refuse to drive w/o the extended armrest. It feels just right for me all the time, and the extra storage space is very handy.
