new impreza for 2007?
hi.. i get it from this article:

I gotta tells ya, this one snuck up on me. The 2003 facelift wasn't unexpected given how, er, unusual the original 2001 Impreza looked, but with an all-new car about a year away, was there really a need to facelift the Impreza again?
Is that true? Is there an all new Impreza on its way in 2006 as a 2007 model? Does anyone have any info on this and/or pictures?

Subaru would be stupid if they didn't do a total redesign next year. The new Evo X will be out next year a there are a lot of people on the fence regarding STI vs. Evo. Rumor has it as both Mits and Subaru will have new models as 08's in mid 07.

I found this on the MRT Rally page a couple months back. Went to the Auto Express website, couldn't find any other info about it. If the '08 ends up being a hatch... ****ing SWEET! To me this would make sense though - the rally cars have to be based on production cars, and Subaru's competitor's cars have been shrinking. If this is the future, I can't wait. The new nose doesn't look horrible on it either, so that's a plus.

Personally, I would not be suprised to see a more "hatchback" looking Impreza in '07/'08 to compete with the new EVO X which has a Mazda 6 5-door type layout.

Post your actual spy photos here if you see a prototype '07 or '08 Impreza.

"However, it's the steering that makes the biggest difference to the car. Dead-ahead slop has all but disappeared so the car turns in more crisply making it feel much more responsive. It also ups the feedback while you're in the corner so you're no longer trying to read what the car is doing through your backside or by listening to the tires. It could still use a bit more feedback and weight but even so, the new rack has made the WRX a thousand times more fun than before and finally gives the WRX the kind of handling it should have had at birth."
I agree with this completely. I just drove a 06 WRX. I own a 2004 WRX w/16x8 Rotas and 225/50/16 falcon tires. The 06 fixes all of the 2004 problems IMO. The 15.0-1 steering ratio (compared to 16.5-1), aluminum control arms in the front and rear, and the better brakes make the new car a completely different beast. The 06 "feels" like it has more positive caster in the front. I'm trading mine in on one.
