New to the group and have a question
Just picked up a new WRX yesterday. This is the first sports car I've ever owned and I can't stop driving it. I'm having a problem keeping the RPM's bellow 4000 for the first 1000 miles! It's some form of sick torture, here’s the car just don't drive it...
I do have a question, I got the stock model and I'm thinking about adding the sub to it. Is it worth it or just enjoy the stock radio?
thanks

I find most people like to add a custom system rather than go w/ Subaru. depends on how bad *** you want to get w/ your stereo. i know a guy w/ a nice RS. alpine head, 10" rockford (strapped in to the trunk of course!) and a small jbl amp. nice setup, not too much weight, and good sound.

I haven't heard the factory stereo setup, but your almost always better of going aftermarket. You can pick exactly what you want tailored to your music preference & usually spend less than what the factory charges.
just my 2 cents!

I got the upgraded system in my rex but still sounded like crap to me. I installed an Alpine head unit and Fosgate amp under the drivers seat with two 10" fosgate subs in the trunk. Sounded awful. I had so much trunk rattle that the next day I pulled the subs and the amp and sold them for half of what I paid.
I can get used to getting in tune with the engine/ turbo.
