A friend of mine (who works for a BMW dealership) recently ended up with an 2002 WRX wagon as a trade in, on a new 03 BMW M3. The WRX is in mint condition and has 15,800 miles on it. Purchased in March of 02, 1 owner. I had been shopping for a new 03 WRX until this popped up. What should I be looking out for, in relation to the used WRX? Should I take it to Subaru for them to look over. I guess my view on it, is that it is a sports car, and people buy them want to drive them fast. The person that traded it in also traded in a S2000, so I know he likes his sports cars. I am a little scared to buy a used turbo, as I dont know much about them. The used 02 is exactly what I was looking for in the 03 models that I have priced. I feel I can get it for $18,500 + taxes. Do you think the 03 models are going to come down, now that the 04's are almost in? Any suggestions or opinions would be great. Thanks for your help in advance.
