The black STi looks MEAN! I'm finished hating the '06 look, I've got nothing but love for it now; Although this does mean that I'll be in the market for a black STi and not the WRC blue pearl one

I may sound weird, but in my opinion the new style looks best on the sport wagon.

I would tend to agree.

IMO, the 04-05 model wagon was hard to get used to. Still don't like the way the front bumper rounds under. The 06 looks alot more "finished"

Actually like the 9-2X over the 04-05 wagon.

Bugeye is still my favorite though.

Wink japanese and american STI

According to other posts i've seen recently, the barriers of engine size and equipment between the two versions are about to be broken. I've searched the japanese sight several times gathering what might be standard or available in the U.S version. If they end up being the same car, several new features will be added wich i am rather like.

RPM digital readout underneath the DCCD lights next to the tach.

Brand new titanium (or looks like it) 6-cd deck (mp3 reader?).

Optional Navigation System with fold down deck feature.

Optional Ipod deck and hook up

Better, cleaner, more supportive seats (or so they seam) with...could this be??? In another color besides blue? I could've sworn i saw a gray colored seat, but not sure if it was just a WRX, and not an STI.

I'm sure theres more, but those are the ones i'm most interested in. Great thing is, they wont weight the car down that much anyways, offering more ammentities, without sacrificing features.

The front is starting to grow on me. I saw the original concepts, and said i'm getting an 05. After seeing the currently built japanese version, i want it more than ever. The front is not only purpose built, but actually makes the Subaru look like it's worth 32,000 dollars.

Tail lights give it that japanese pacific muscle that I know I love. I for one am proud to say I'm a ricer. Those taillights absolutley say it, and it gives the american muscle guys a mental image, cause that's all they say...for about 8 seconds.

I was hoping sometime soon the STI would end up with some HID's. All I have to say is this, they'd better be blue.

Overall, I'd say this would end up being the best STI ever. But then again, that's how i felt about the 04-05 gen.

The current STI 04 and 05 already have HIDs. Adjustable ones at that.

this new 2006 model is starting to look oh so sweet.

i think the sti looks especially mean and agressive, the wrx model looks better than ever, i'm actually starting to prefer it to the 04's and 05's. i love the gold wheels on the wrx too, just plain sweet! i do have 2 questions; will the subaru emblem on the trunk be able to come off without any marks and what's the situation with the rear wing for the wrx models? are the coming stock with the usual small wing or the gigantic sti wing?

at any rate, i'm excited to see 'em hit the streets!

My bad, I forgot what it's called when you have the glass bulb as the lense instead of conventional bulbs.

I have to agree, I love the look. Particularly in black, it looks reall mean. I'm pretty sure if you take off the back emblem it wouldnt leave a mark, From experience most emblems come off without a problem. Unless they're screwed on with a nail. From alot of what i've seen off the japan site, it seems the wrx doesnt have a wing, but just a rear window wiper. Yet on one of the wall papers, the wrx has the same wing off a STI. So maybe it's an option or part of a performance package.

Projector beams I believe. Not entirely sure.

The current legacy has them
