Guys, I am a newby at i-club, although I've been into subaru's for a while. Please help me with all the different engine and model designations - gc8, ej20, etc. Which ones are out there and what does each of them stand for? I know, for example, that gc8 refers to the previous generation of Imprezas, but does is refer to the entire car, the driveline, or some other components? Also, are the designations different between US and, say, Japanese models? Thanks a million.
