Yes modding is very addicting.. but your putting a front mount on and no turbo upgrade your really going to hate your powerloss in doing so.
ok with the edits that i made im going to assume you just didnt even bother to read the thread, so im just going to tell you to gtfo. sorry, but if you cant even read a thread, dont bother posting in it.

Mental Addiction Motorsports is the name though.
if you go to my other thread that i linked to above, you can see some of his work. plus hes the vendor of the year status on mazda forums. good guy, active duty navy, but runs this shop as well. good quality work...he can turbo anything, or make any sort of piping.

I've read the thread and you still don't have a upgrade on the turbo..
Have fun with the car... all those mods might make it slower then stock
so you went to this link?

and you didnt see this:
wow. keep up on the good reading skills.

and you didnt see this:
without drastically changing the car, OR making too much power to where the engine or tranny goes, what else can i add?
get a new turbo, injectors, fuel pump. Some suspensions things, basically everything else other people do
like i said though, im willing to upgrade the turbo and stuff, to the piont of being safe with the stock block that is just the list of what i know will get done. he is also making a TMIC (or at least plans to) for everyone in the WRX community.
do any of the GT series turbos fit? im thinking lik ea GT28RS or some other dual ball bearing turbo?
he is an amazing tuner and worker, hell be able to tune the AEM with great success im sure. the second paragraph is what id like to hit, provided, like you said, the stock block holds. are you talking whp or crank hp?

Matt,
Don't be so sensitive. Anytime people pick up on that, it's like a knee-jerk reaction to post something with the sole intent to bait you.
As far as the goal for your car, is it the generic 'more power' aim? The most all around, best balanced? Most innovative and unique? I'm guessing unique in that you're willing to use your car as a testbed for untested hardware. That's not to denigrate the abilities of your friend, but if he's creating exhaust components in a vacuum, without at least modeling his work after some 'named' companies pieces or at most, using the time consuming trial and error based, mathematical flow testing.
You'll find that every course of action that you may be considering has been done before in some shape or form. Even the 'innovativational' route. Have you been on Nasioc to look for thread detailing other folks' builds?

im not worried about my friend. he is freakin amazing welder, and his shop has insurance and i wrote up a contract so im not gonna sweat it.
he has the amazing ability of just seeing crap in his mind, putting some pipes in the car, and spot welding them inside the engine bay and coming up with a finished product eventually.
all his parts he gets dyno charts to prove gains, etc.
