I am a very humble person. However, every time I go outside some pasty-faced dork blasting some gangster rap **** in an import gives me dirty looks. Perhaps this is because I have such a bodacious car (that he's thinking about stealing) or maybe he thinks he's gonna race my car and win. Either way some of the people in my town are just plain disrespectful! I say this because today I can count ELEVEN door dings on my car. I may be to blame because of where I park my car but what is the deal? If only people in Sacramento would stop doing crank and learn some manners we could all be happy.

I listen to "ganster rap ****" (dont blast it though) and if I saw you i'd give you a thumbs up
But ya, there are alot of dorks here in the greater sacramento area who think they are thugs... Whats up with all the trucks with alteza lights around here!?!?!
Anyhow, I got most of my door dings probalby from parking at Sac State
Hard to avoid that there, since you have to constant battle to even get a parking spot.

Thats another thing, whats up with mini-trucks making a comeback? In my opinion there is nothing utility about a lowered toyota truck with airbags. Why buy a truck if you cant use the bed?

Rap isn't at all bad music, only gangster rap. In the early 1990s underground rap was getting very big in the West coast with groups such as the Pharcyde, Heirogliphics, Freestyle Fellowship. Then it took a wrong turn all because of a man named Tupac Shakur. His glorification of the "gangsta" mentality in rap music has really ruined the entire meaning behind it. Rap is about expression but when it is negative(i.e. "I'm gonna kill you then have sex with your wife all while flashing my expensive jewelry") it takes away the true meaning of rap: LOVE.
Oh, and by the way TOOL is the greatest music ever written!

perfect circle with maynard is very good stuff
you're right though, most stations suck, and play stuff we have all heard, and isn't that great. i have to say that wcyy here in maine, plays an awesome mix non-main stream music. they have a 3 hour program thurs night dedicated to underground, local, indie, hip hop, dance/house. i first heard j5 and dialated people on the show. also hep PE and finger eleven.

I've been a hEd pe fan for ever, although it is a little too abrasive at times. I would have to say that the best hip-hop out there is from a group called the Shape-Shifters. Circus is the most abstract mc I've ever heard. I suggest to anybody who listens to rap to go to www.belowsurface.com, they have the best selection for underground hip-hop in the bay area(except for Amoeba of course)

Just kidding, don't get mad. I also like Tool, as well as tons of other music. The only bad music is (mostly) on commercial radio, no one ever hears the good stuff.
